Ngataringa Slope Restoration
Perched on a coastal hillside with stunning views across Ngataringa Bay, this project focused on restoring a steep and overgrown section of the property while improving safety and long-term resilience.
We began with selective clearance and structural stabilisation of the sloping terrain, ensuring the site was secure and ready for new planting. A crushed shell path was added to improve access, blending naturally with the surroundings and offering a low-impact alternative to conventional paving.
To enhance erosion control and reinforce the contouring, we installed tiered planting beds with hardy native species and lush foliage, chosen for their coastal tolerance and soil-binding roots. Timber edging and soft transitions help define the space without interrupting the natural flow.
The result is a visually connected garden that softens the boundary between home and landscape — functional, sustainable, and beautifully settled into its unique coastal setting.
