This Halsey Drive landscape was designed to transform an exposed suburban backyard into a private, functional space for everyday living and entertaining. The layout introduces clear zones for cooking, relaxing, and soaking — all tied together with clean lines, soft lighting, and layered textures.

A sunken spa area is framed with stacked stone walls and warm timber batten cladding, paired with a built-in fire pit and integrated lighting for a cosy, resort-style feel. The outdoor kitchen sits opposite, featuring custom cabinetry and vertical screening for privacy without blocking light or airflow.

Low-maintenance materials such as composite decking, porcelain pavers, and artificial lawn ensure long-term durability while keeping the finish sleek and modern. Raised planters with structured greenery provide balance and soften the harder edges of the design.

Despite a compact footprint, the space delivers on both form and function — offering a seamless connection between each zone, day or night. The design makes smart use of levels, lighting, and sightlines to achieve privacy and flow without overcrowding the site.
