This Hacket project focused on creating a tranquil courtyard with a strong sense of structure and flow. The brief was to deliver a space for outdoor dining and quiet reflection, using natural textures and formal planting.

A curved stone retaining wall defines the garden’s upper edge, creating separation and supporting a neatly planted hedge line. A timber deck sits below, extending directly from the home and providing a warm, welcoming base for entertaining.

The focal point is a sculptural water feature surrounded by smooth river stones and framed by clipped topiary and dense greenery. Carefully placed path lights provide subtle evening ambience while maintaining sightlines and visual order.

The combination of robust materials and elegant planting results in a timeless landscape — practical for everyday use, yet designed with calm and character at its core.
