Every project starts with a detailed deck design led by our in-house registered landscape architect. Our deck design process covers material selection, layout, drainage, shade, and integration with the rest of your landscape, backed by 2D plans and 3D visualisations where helpful. We design decks in NZ that work with the unique slope, orientation, and constraints of each property, and we flag anything tricky early so there are no surprises on site.

Building a deck in NZ comes with specific requirements around consents and regulations. A building consent is required if the deck is more than 1.5 metres above ground level, and there are additional rules around balustrades, access, and structural engineering. Our team manages the full consent process, liaises with council, and coordinates engineers where needed, so you don’t need to chase any of it yourself.
