The Tyburn Lane project transformed an unused rear courtyard into a functional, low-maintenance outdoor living space with clean lines and a contemporary edge. The aim was to maximise usability while creating a crisp, structured layout that complements the home’s style.

We installed large-format paving to define the main patio zone, providing a durable, easy-care surface that connects seamlessly to the interior. A light-toned timber deck adds warmth and contrast, subtly zoning the area for relaxation and outdoor dining.

Raised, dark-stained timber planters run the boundary edge, bringing texture and colour through architectural planting. Feature lighting and subtle changes in level add depth without cluttering the space.

The result is a polished, versatile courtyard with a modern aesthetic — ideal for entertaining or everyday living, and a big uplift in both form and function for this urban backyard.
